Information Architecture: Closed Demo Value Position

For an Extreme Beta (closed demo), the homepage should focus on clarity, high-trust signals, and immediate value. Since we have “no platform fees” for clients and a “Point Ecosystem” for talents, the copy needs to explain these unique mechanics quickly before the user loses interest.

1. Hero Section (The “Hook”)

Goal: In 5 seconds, tell them what this is and why it’s better than Upwork.

  • Main Headline: “The Zero-Fee Marketplace for Vetted Tech Talent.”
  • Sub-headline: “No memberships. No platform fees. Just direct access to elite developers who prove their worth every day.”
  • Primary CTA (Talent): [ Start Building My Portfolio ]
  • Secondary CTA (Client): [ Browse Vetted Talents ]

2. The “Dual Value” Section

Goal: Address the specific pain points of both sides of your marketplace.

For Clients (The “No Fee” Promise)For Talents (The “AP” Advantage)
Direct Payouts: You just pay the talent for work. No hidden platform margins.Proof of Work: Use your GitHub and LinkedIn to prove you’re the top 1%.
High Signal: Stop sorting through 100+ bot applications. Only serious talent can apply.Earn as You Build: Earn Application Points every day just by clicking ‘Daily Reward’ and completing your portfolio.
Closed Beta Access: During our demo phase, enjoy white-glove matching at no cost.No Spam Competition: Compete with 5 high-quality applicants, not 500 spammers.

3. How the “Application Point” (AP) System Works

Goal: Explain the “Points” mechanic clearly so it doesn’t feel like a “game,” but a quality filter.

“Quality is our Currency.”

To ensure every application is high-quality, we use Application Points (AP).

  1. Earn: Connect GitHub (+3 AP), LinkedIn (+1 AP), or claim your Daily Reward button.
  2. Apply: Spending 1 AP sends a high-priority application to a client.
  3. Refund: If a client doesn’t respond in 14 days, we return your point.

4. The Beta “Closed Demo” Disclaimer

Goal: Set expectations so users don’t get frustrated by bugs.

  • Heading: “Welcome to the Extreme Beta.”
  • Copy: “We are currently in a closed demo phase. You are part of an exclusive group testing our core matching engine. Some features are still being polished, but our commitment to zero fees is already live.”

5. Trust Signals (Social Proof)

Since you don’t have thousands of reviews yet, use “Technical Trust”:

  • “Verified by GitHub OAuth”
  • “Secure Payments via Stripe Connect”
  • “Next.js 15 & Supabase Infrastructure” (Shows you are using modern, secure tech).

6. Footer / Final Call to Action

  • Headline: “Ready to change how you work?”
  • Talent CTA: “Earn your first 3 AP by connecting GitHub now.”
  • Client CTA: “Post your first job for free.”
Implementation Tip for the Demo:

On the homepage, keep the “Daily Reward” button visible even for non-logged-in users (but make it trigger the Magic Link sign-in). This lets them see the “Unified Entry” flow you built immediately.
